Tech Talks

Tech Talks is a conference about responsibility in technology products. It is a new and open environment for all people interested in this topic to discuss the most recent updates and changes about digital products and the impact of technology in our lives.

Inspiration

Technoglogy is like a light in the dark, guiding people through darkness. Our solution was to experiment with light painting, which led to interesting results.

Website

This website was built to both advertise Tech Talks and be a portal for passes purchase. Below is an overview scroll. It was built as a one long webpage with a side-navigation as a secondary resort.

To highlight a few of the main interactions on this website, below are the preview of the key speakers and the conference schedule.

Two types of passes were sold for Tech Talks, the regular 2-day pass and the virtual option for those who could only participate online. This is a demonstration of how they would access, using their virtual pass, a Talk that's about to begin:

Mobile App

After the user purchased their ticket, they would receive an email suggesting they download the mobile app, to have their tickets in hand for later use. Included on that email was an access code, so they would unlock the ticket QR-code ontheir mobile device. After the code gets scanned at the entrance, the rest of the app unlocks for the user to view schedule and venue info.

It's not uncommon to see viewers taking pictures of presentation slides, as to remember it later. In order to avoid that practice, and for conference participants to have the slides in good quality afterwards, they would be available on the app after that Talk was finished.
