Pride & Prejudice
& Interaction & Web
Project brief
The challenge was to select a literary work in the public domain to translate and augment its content, by designing a publication for a new edition in a digital format. I decided to choose Jane Austen's book to create a digital reading experience for its many interesting characters, which can be perceived by the readers in varied ways, and this goes right on point with the plot (besides my personal love for this story).

Readers can collect the characters they want, pick their own favorite quotes that help build their description, and overview their journey with their “cards deck”. This experience is something created to add even more value to the reading, and the format in which it was designed is meant to enhance reading in a digital screen, rather than try to virtually imitate a book.

The reader is encouraged to login with their email address so they can continue reading where they left off. They can always find their digital bookmark on the left side of the screen – which recaps the characters that are part of that current chapter – and keep the progress in their card collection.
